Tanggal 1 Februari s/d 4 Februari 2010 yang baru lewat, saya berkesempatan mengunjungi Pulau Lombok. Dengan mengunakan Lion Air, saya sampai di Bandara Selaparang Lombok pukul 17.00 WIT. Setelah melakukan check in di Hotel Jayakarta Lombok yang berada di daerah Sengigi, saya bergegas menuju ke belakang hotel untuk menyaksikan sunset.

Sungguh luar biasa sekali melihat pemandangan sunset di Sengigi Lombok ini, dengan bermodalkan kamera handphone Nokia 97 Mini, beberapa momen sunset sempat saya abadikan.

"Di Lombok, Anda bisa melihat Bali..namun di Bali, Anda tidak dapat melihat Lombok" itulah semboyan pariwisata yang diucapkan sopir taksi yang saya tumpangi dalam perjalanan mencari oleh-oleh mutiara. Setengah bingung, saya hanya diam mendengar ucapan sopir taksi tersebut. Melihat gelagat saya yang bingung akan ucapannya, sang sopir kembali mengatakan bahwa banyak juga penduduk Bali yang tinggal dan menetap di Lombok tanpa meninggalkan kebudayaan aslinya. Tetapi di Bali, sedikit sekali masyarakat Lombok yang dapat menonjolkan kebudayaannya karena tertutupi oleh pesona Bali.

Selama 4 hari di Lombok, saya sempat mengunjungi beberapa tempat wisata yang tidak kalah dengan pesona pulau Bali. Entah kapan saya akan berkesempatan kembali mengunjungi Lombok, pulau yang juga memiliki pesona dan cinderamata mutiara yang cantik dan ciamik.
